I have decided this year, I want to read more books so I thought doing a book review may help me be persistent in reading throughout the year. I will start this series with Rainbow Rowell's book Park and Eleanor.

This book is about two young people who met on the school bus, which goes through a hate then love high-school romance.
For me, the characters are written to resonate with the reader as I connect with both characters, but more so with Eleanor. This book is beautifully written and I would recommend to any male or female in their late teens to read.
I related to Eleanor as she struggles with her body image and how she thinks people perceive her. Which is what I struggle with myself. I am personally terrified every time I post my face because I worry people will not like me for how I look and what I believe people see in me.
For me, I did not relate to Park as he had other aspects to himself that I personally do not understand. But, both of them are outsiders which I can see myself in.
Rowell did a really good job writing from both Eleanor and Park's perspectives separately and for me, I saw the differences in both perspectives and how they are written.

If they were to create a movie from this book, for some weird reason I can see Barb from Stranger Things being the main character of Eleanor. There were plans for a movie, but it was scraped after two years, so maybe there might be another Production Company that might take on the project. The only way I see the film working is doing it similar to the film Flipped which you can watch on Netflix.

As I said before, I recommend this book to those in their late teens early twenties both male and female as it will relate to both characters and how they perceive romance and other social issues discussed in the book.
Next Week, I will share with you some of my own Study Tips to get through University or even High School!
Happy Reading,
Emily x
